Encore Awards Expands Stamp Sales,
Launches New Integrated Web Site
PASADENA – For 22 years, Encore Awards has been a respected source of such high-profile products as the Golden Globes and the internet Webby Awards.
Now Encore is reintroducing its retail stamp and marking business by uniting two local companies under the Encore name.
February 4, Encore completed the acquisition of Al’s Rubber Stamps and Specialty Works, which has served customers in Whittier since 1962.
Betty Zito, well-known in Whittier as the owner of Al’s Rubber Stamps, is retiring, but she will assist Encore in assuring that customers are taken care of. Al's phone numbers will remain the same, and a service center at 13211 Whittier Blvd. will greet customers.
Meanwhile, Jensen’s Rubber Stamps, founded in Long Beach in 1929 and purchased by Encore in 2001, is also being integrated into Encore's stamping business.
Encore president Tom Selinske says products from all three companies are now available through www.encoreawards.com and www.alsrubberstamps.com, and at Encore’s office at 1055 East Walnut Street in Pasadena. Through the internet, the integrated product lines are marketed to stamp customers across the country.
“This business integration will help us provide better service to each customer,” Selinske said. “From a classic wood-handled stamp to sophisticated self-inkers and daters, Encore, Jensen and Al’s stamp operations can now deliver excellent products to customers everywhere, in any industry.”
Stamp products available through the Encore web site include self inking stamps, 2000 Plus daters, EZ and MaxLight pre-inked stamps, Xstampers as well as engraved signs and badges. On the newly launched websites, customers can create their own messages and select type fonts to suit their business needs.
The integrated stamping business continues a tradition at Encore, which has strategic partnerships with other companies such as R.S. Owens, Metro Gallery and April Manufacturing. These partnerships enable Encore to offer awards in almost any medium from glass and crystal to stainless steel and distinctive art.
“Encore prides itself on creative solutions to any recognition need, whether ‘Salesperson of the Year,’ or ’30 Years of Service,’ ” Selinske said.
For marking on any medium, Encore maintains three laser engravers as well as in-house engraving computers, sandblast engraving, banners and full-color digital printing on virtually any surface.
